Understanding Signal Strength and Signal Quality on a Receiver
- Signal strength indicates the level of the received satellite signal at the receiver.
- Signal quality is more important for evaluating whether the transmission can be decoded reliably.
- A high strength reading does not always mean that the reception is stable or interference-free.
- Use both measurements when adjusting the dish, LNB, or satellite reception system.
